The aims and objectives of the college is to provide teacher education course of study viz.,B.Ed & D.El.Ed to freshers and teachers who aspire to be professionally competent teachers as per the objectives of NCTE. The college also welcomes teacher trainees deputed by the secondary schools recognized by the West Bengal  Board of  Secondary  Education , West Bengal  Madrasa Education  Board or any other Board provided that the deputation be sanctioned by the Govt. of W.B  or any appropriate authority.  We also prepare teachers for middle, secondary and higher secondary levels.

Our teachers try their best to give proper guidance to all the trainees for teaching the school students in different classes. They develop different teaching materials and methods and help the trainee teachers to develop themselves. The college is trying to adopt itself to the new way of thinking. All here at the college are earnestly trying to set a pedagogic goal that is highly learner-facilitating. With this aim in mind the college is successfully running since inception.

We prepare the fresher students for employment in High or Higher Secondary Schools, and Teacher Education Institutions (TEI).

To achieve the above objectives the institution arrange not only elaborate lectures but  provide intensive tutorial classes, seminar, symposia, debate and discussion. Necessary arrangement for practice teaching both at the micro and macro level is made to provide opportunity to have practical training in teaching. In addition to the above, other co-curricular activities are regular feature of this college.

Debnarayan Shiksha Sansthan (B.Ed & D.El.Ed College)  offers quality teaching education ,enlighten, emancipate, and empower the student-teacher fraternity and  foster lifelong learning.

Debnarayan Shiksha Sansthan (B.Ed & D.El.Ed College) will undertake the following:-

   *   To develop an understanding of the principle of pedagogy and its application to curriculum transaction and evaluation.
   *   To develop in students the skills and competencies necessary to play the multifaceted role of the teacher in the new millennium.
   *   To provide opportunities to the faculty and the students to undertake action research projects contributing to new insights into the teaching   learning process.
   *   To enable the students to live in harmony with oneself and others in the profession, community and society at large.
   *   To inspire students for lifelong learning and for reaching the unreached.
   *   To set up new course of study like  M.Ed College, M.A in Education and Integrated teacher- education Course.
   *   To construct an Auditorium Hall.
